Withdrawal Policy

At Gomal Journal of Life Sciences, we understand that there may be occasions when authors need to withdraw their submitted manuscripts. To ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the publication process, we have established the following withdrawal policy:

  1. Request for Withdrawal: Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript from consideration for publication in Gomal Journal of Life Sciences must submit a formal request for withdrawal to the Editorial Office. This request should be sent via email to the Editorial Office at [insert email address].
  2. Reasons for Withdrawal: Authors are encouraged to provide reasons for their withdrawal request. While providing a reason is optional, it can help us understand and address any concerns or issues related to the manuscript submission process.
  3. Withdrawal Fees: There are no withdrawal fees associated with withdrawing a manuscript from consideration for publication in Gomal Journal of Life Sciences. However, authors should note that once a manuscript has entered the peer review process, withdrawal may not be possible without justification.
  4. Withdrawal After Acceptance: If a manuscript has been accepted for publication in Gomal Journal of Life Sciences but the authors wish to withdraw it, they must provide a compelling reason for withdrawal. The Editorial Board will review such requests on a case-by-case basis, considering the impact on the journal's publication schedule and the reasons provided by the authors.
  5. Ethical Considerations: Authors should be aware that withdrawing a manuscript after submission, particularly after peer review, can have ethical implications. It may waste the time and resources of reviewers, editors, and other stakeholders involved in the publication process. Therefore, authors are encouraged to consider their decision carefully before submitting a withdrawal request.
  6. Notification of Withdrawal: Upon receipt of a withdrawal request, the Editorial Office will acknowledge the request and inform the authors of the withdrawal decision. If the withdrawal request is approved, the manuscript will be withdrawn from consideration for publication in Gomal Journal of Life Sciences, and the authors will be notified accordingly.
